Welcome to 2015

Wednesday Jan. 21st was our first meeting of 2015.

Susan Bowslaugh and Paula Perri spoke about what judges look for in a juried show - basically things that you may want to consider working on even if you don't enter a quilt in a juried show.
Then they worked in small groups with samples of Paula's first quilts and Susan clarifying some of the categories that you would find in the CQA/ACC National Juried Show.

Many of local quilt shops were available for guild members to shop without having to venture out into the cold.

Lynne showed a few of the quilts that she has ready for the Community Outreach Programme (aka Quilts for Others). Some will go to people who have had a major fire in their homes.

Workshop for February will feature Roberta Masecar and her "Glitzy" pieces - some even becoming purses/bags!

A couple of reminders:
- M,N,O,P,Q, & R were responsible for the goodies for the social table for February
- in case of cancellation, members and visitors are to check the blog, the website.
But Gloria suggested that good judgment on your personal safety is always a good idea.

Closing out the evening with Show & Tell, which included some of the finished QFO's.
