Scholarship

NHQG under the direction from Nina Stahlschmidt, fundraising was done at the Quilt Show in 2011 through a Silent Auction to enable the guild to offer a $1000 Scholarship to an Ontario student studying textile or fibre arts.

Each year the committee reviews the guidelines and sends applications to the local school boards to send out to their schools and students. As well each year, the 50-50 draw that is held at every meeting, goes to top up the Scholarship fund.
Application forms are available on the NHQG website.
Over the last 3 years, NHQG has been able to offer this Scholarship of $1000 to students in Niagara, entering post-secondary education in the textile/fibre arts area.
